On February 16, at about 10:00 am ET, the US will be hit by a massive, crippling cyber attack from an unknown attacker. Key players will convene in the White House situation room and plan their response, from mitigation to possible retaliation scenarios. It will all be live on television. For the first time in history, the US will simulate a cyber attack in public, for all the world to see. It will apparently be quite realistic, featuring senior intelligence and national security officials. A production company has been hired to re-create a White House Situation Room in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, and professional scriptwriters have been working with experts to create a real-life scenario.
