Looks like it is going to be a busy month. Microsoft has released advance notification that on February 9, 2010, they will be releasing 13 security bulletins covering 26 vulnerabilities. No known “in the wild” exploitation is apparent at this time. The biggest change addresses a 17-year-old bug dating back to the days of DOS, discovered in January by Google.
The vendor has rated the bulletins:
- 5 ‘Critical’
- 7 ‘Important’
- 1 ‘Moderate’
11 of the bulletins affect Windows, and 1 affects Office.
